Drive-Thru Drug Take Back Event

Bring any prescription & over-the-counter medication for safe, FREE disposal to five drive-thru locations across Clark County Washington:

  1. PeaceHealth Memorial Campus – 33rd & Main (South Back Lot), Vancouver, WA
  2. Walgreens Cascade Park – 13503 SE Mill Plain Blvd., Vancouver, WA
  3. Battle Ground Police Department – 507 SW 1st St., Battle Ground, WA
  4. La Center Police Department – 105 W 5th St., La Center, WA
  5. Washougal Police Department – 1320 A St., Washougal, WA

Frequently Asked Questions: 

  • What safety guidelines will be followed? For everyone’s safety, participants will remain in vehicles & use a drive-thru process to dispose of unwanted & expired medication.
  • What medications will be accepted? Any prescription & over-the-counter medications including pills, liquids & inhalers will be accepted. Removal of personal info on medication labels or packaging is not required.
  • What about Sharps & syringes? ONLY Peacehealth Memorial Campus & Walgreens Cascade Park event sites will accept Sharps & non-prefilled syringes for disposal from noncommercial sources only. Use an approved Sharps container or a rigid plastic container with a lid to transport  (ex: plastic milk jug) & label the container: WARNING-SHARPS DO NOT RECYCLE
  • Are vape pens & e-cigarettes being accepted? YES! All event sites  will collect vape pens & e-cigarettes WITHOUT batteries for disposal. If batteries aren’t removable, ask electronic chain stores or local Hazardous Material Transfer Stations if they accept these devices for disposal & for extra guidance on proper disposal.
  • How are collected medications disposed of? All prescription & over-the-counter medication collected at drug take-back events are safely incinerated by the D.E.A.
